Thoughts:

Normally, I dislike science fiction but I actually really enjoyed this book. It is a book that recquires you to do your own thinking to put together the worldbuilding and understand the relationships with other characters. I think this is good because it's kind of like putting us in Klara's shoes and we often don't get the full picture of what's happening. We learn alongside her. Very little is explained explicitly in the book but instead it's revealed through character's conversations and Klara's own deductions. I prefer this because sometimes everything being explained to me in a book irritates me. But maybe that's just me. Klara is a good MC. Her dedication to Josie was sweet to read and I really wanted her plan to work, even though I had doubts. I think there is supernatural elements in the book also, because that's the only way I can explain what happens to Josie LMAO. I really like Josie's relationship with Rick too. Rick is probably one of my favourite characters, and I wish we saw more of him. I also wanted to see more of what was going on with his mom and Mr. Vance. Also why did my queen Melania Housekeeper just dip. Like what the hell. There was a bittersweet feeling throughout the book, especially the ending. I think the way things ended were kinda sad because I hoped that Klara would stay with the Mother, but oh well. The fact that so many characters don't have endings but kind of just disappear from the narratiive is both realistic and kind of sad. I reccomend this book, especially if you don't normally like science fiction!!
